The MCSCD can be hired to mow fields and tree sites. We use a 15ft batwing mower for all jobs. For mowing, we charge $15/ac for fields, and $200/hr for tree sites.
Mowing is a great way to utilize mechanical weed control without soil disturbance, the mower chops the top of the plant off before it goes to seed.
Adjustable deck height reduces the risk of damaging new growth of desired plants.
Mowing also helps put more organic matter back into the soil quicker (for example, the undesirable plants you are mowing down becomes residue).
